'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League return

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the initial important achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had escaped him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's primary focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
